Due to progressive privatization and opening of the Russian economy as well as subsequent political reforms at the end of the Eighties, Russia is in need of a strong and experienced partner for the equipping of hospitals.

As early as 1991 hospitalia international signs contracts for the supply of medical equipment to two hospitals with a capacity of 1000 resp. 1100 beds with companies of the Russian gas industry. The equipment of the General Hospital Norilsk Nickel in the Krasnojarsk Region as well as the General Hospital Surgutneftegas in the Autonomous Region Khanty-Mansyisk is handed over to the client in 1992.

After such good start further contracts are signed and successfully executed in the following years.
