hospitalia international elaborated the complete planning, from room distribution to equipment list, then being the most modern hospital of Egypt at the time. The medical part of the hospital comprised i.e. an OT Dept. with 6 main operating theaters (thorax, neurosurgery, orthopaedics, urology/gynaecology, ophthalmology and general surgery) the equipment of which complied with highest available standard. Part of this area were as well a large recovery and ICU. Additionally, special attention was given to the Laboratory of considerable size, Dialysis Dept. and Radiology Dept. with a total of seven rooms and the Nuclear Dept., all of them provided with equipment of latest-state-of-the-art as well. Apart from medical equipment and also furniture great part of the technical equipment was supplied as well - from boiler house, central gas supply, kitchen and laundry to emergency power supply and waste incineration. After successful start of operation hospitalia international was entrusted with the maintenance service for the equipment supplied during many years, thus ensuring permanent availability of the equipment.
