Hospitalia International

The Hospital das Clínicas was the first modern hospital intended to provide medical care of Riberão Preto, a city with 500.000 inhabitants and located in the state of São Paulo. At the same time it was as well a teaching hospital of the University of São Paulo; accordingly the equipment was of latest-state-of-art.

The Hospital Luis Vernaza was erected by the charitable foundation Junta de Beneficiencia de Guyaquil, founded in 1888. Like previous hospitals of the foundation also this hospital offered medical care to the poorer sections of the population. 

The children's hospital, located in the capital of El Salvador, was severely damaged by an earthquake in 1986. With the help of a grant of the Federal Republic of Germany it was possible to undertake the earthquake-proof reconstruction of the hospital including latest-state-of-the-art medical equipment.

The Peruvian government had committed itself to sustainably improve the basic medical care of the population. A loan agreement between the German and Peruvian governments supported the financing of this undertaking. Within this improvement program a general hospital was built in Chimbote, an industrial city approx. 400 km north Lima. hospitalia international supplied the entire medical and technical equipment for this hospital, comprising i.a. medical equipment for the Orthopaedic Dept., Pediatric Dept., Ophthalmology and ENT Dept. as well as e.g. kitchen equipment.

The military hospital in Quito was considered to be one of the best equipped hospitals in Ecuador. It primarily provided medical treatment to the military personnel and their families, however, it was also open for other patients requiring treatment with high sophisticated medical equipment. 

The specialty hospital was built by the private charitable Foundation Valle del Lilí in the Province of Cali. When the hospital opened its doors to the public and started operation the main focus was on the departments of Nephrology, Oncology as well as a highly modern Diagnostic Department.

The hospital was established by the pension insurance of the Carabineros de Chile and provided medical care to members and their families. The medical equipment represented highest standard and comprised also one of the first CTs in Chile. All equipment required special, earthquake-proof installation. During the earthquake of 1985 these measures proved to be justified. Apart from the entire medical equipment hospitalia international also supplied communication technology as well as all laundry, working clothes, kitchen equipment including tableware and cutlery.
